My question is how does one get a really nice continuous batt using a drum carder? I have a Louet drum carder and plenty of wool and silk fibers I want to card together, but don't tiny strips, I always seem to end up with short chunks of wool. I've often wondered if I should just send out what I have dyed to blended and carded but don't know if it'd be worth the expense or not. Suggestions?
