Yes, Fibernet goes on. My co-moderator  and mate originally met on the 
old dial-up BBS, though we did not meet face to face for many years 
later, when she was teaching a weaving class an hour's drive from the 
old Sammen Farm in Minnesota.

Any noise from a moving part usually means a need for lubrication or 
repair.  How about contacting the makers of the Woolee Winder? They 
seem to usually be at Convergence.  I would think they would have some 
net or phone contact too. Yes, a Google gets me
