Yes! The Woolee Winder needs a drop of oil near the spring mechanism every 10 hours of use (or so.) Or, after a long hiatus of non-use. This instruction should have accompanied the Woolee Winder. Do not hesitate to lubricate--but only one drop. Regards, Michelle White Rock NM
