Wooly wise, I have 3 gelded alpacas who were just sheared. As I still have quite a bit of roving from the last shearing, this year I am sending the fiber off to be made into lace weight yarn as I plan to use it for weaving. Do I save money? Probably not, but I do enjoy the critters and they are very low upkeep (other than the one which broke his femur, but we won't talk about that). Brucie
