I have DSL from Earthlink and use an ethernet hub which connects to my G4 with a cable to the DSL and another cable to the printer. I have one more port that I use to connect my Powerbook when I want to transfer data. It has been absolutely no problem and Earthlink even sent someone to set it up -- back in the days when installation was free and they didn't trust you to do it yourself. Now I would be more inclined to get a router, but the hub works and I couldn't manage everything without DSL. Hope this helps.
