Hmm. Must be a Canadian thing.

But then, if you ever hear a Canadian say, "You naughty little 
kittens have lost your mittens" it likely comes out as "You noddy 
liddle ki'ens uv lost yer mi'ens", so maybe we aren't the supreme 
role model for language.
