Yes -- as I said above (perhaps I was unclear), that's exactly what I'm going to do. I was just pointing out the irony of everyone asking me "How in tarnation do you expect the players to figure out which part to play in a 2:1 split on the first reading?" when a 3-way split (which apparently everyone does know how to do without further discussion) is fundamentally the same problem. It shouldn't matter that you are splitting 2/3 + 1/3 in one case, and 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 in the other -- you are still splitting in *thirds*, which is what was alleged to be so difficult and confusing and all that. However, in the interest of keeping things within the bounds of familiarity for the strings, I will make the Violin I and II parts identical, both "Div in 3." Oh, and thanks everyone for the feedback -- I really had no idea that such a simple request would be so fraught with peril. - Darcy ----- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Boston MA _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
