The TrueType version looks fine. Was it embedded in the PDF? From what I understand, if the font was embedded, then it ought to display correctly no matter what. TrueType versus PS shouldn't make any difference.
Perhaps if the font wasn't embedded, your iMac user might have had a corrupt or incomplete installation of Finale fonts. (Which can be fixed by installing NotePad, or the Finale demo.)
