That's what I thought, but this report got me concerned -- especially since
I had 8 hours to produce and deliver this score from a pencil manuscript (a
nasty fax, too).


Perhaps if the font wasn't embedded, your iMac user might have had a
corrupt or incomplete installation of Finale fonts.  (Which can be
fixed by installing NotePad, or the Finale demo.)

Those two files were exactly the ones the pianist downloaded. The first one
(TrueType) didn't work for her; the second (Type 1) worked fine.

Again, which suggests to me (and I ain't no expert so don't quote me) that:


- you didn't embed the music font into either file.
- this person had installed only the PS Finale fonts, not their TrueType equivalents.
- someone who had never installed Finale fonts on their system would have trouble with both files.


I can verify this by uninstalling my Finale fonts -- but not now.
