Well, strangely enough, I liked the old way Finale copied music -- it
copied clef changes by default (I'm talking about the COPY EVERYTHING
situation).

If you're copying large blocks of music, why *wouldn't* you want the
clef *changes* copied along with the music, especially when the
destination is on the same staff as the source?

It seems to me that the "new" way (it changed some time between
WinFin97 and WinFin2K3 for me) does this:

A. copies music with clef changes in one staff to another staff
without clef changes (good)

B. copies music with clef changes to the same staff without clef
changes (bad)

The old way was:

A. copies music with clef changes in one staff to another staff with
clef changes (bad)

B. copies music with clef changes to the same staff without clef
changes (good)

For me, the old way was far preferable, because I copy "horizontally"
a lot more often than "vertically."

In any event, I'd sure prefer it as an option for COPY EVERYTHING. I
guess I could do it by choosing COPY ENTRY ITEMS and selection COPY
ALL, but I'll never remember to do that!

were a settable preference, so I could permanently change it back to
the old behavior, but I guess the workaround is OK. I'm not sure if
it's more work to remember to do that or to just redo the clefs.
