large text repeats can also add to rehearsal time in the studio which costs money - D.S.,D.C. et.al. also has a tendency to create page noise in close microphone environments which will add time in post-production (not nearly as bad in the digital age, but still an issue) -top left to bottom right makes life easier in that kind of setting or any sight-reading environment - TC

I disagree. In fact, missed or flubbed jumpers are the number one thing that goes wrong when sightreading. Bob Florence has decades of experience as an arranger and bandleader, he knows of what he speaks.
