For me, it depends on what I'm working on. If I'm doin' an octavo or a full score, 
that's the only thing I have open. If I'm working on parts, I'll have 3 files open at 
once (don't have enough RAM to have bunches open), or if I'm feeling festive, maybe 4.

I'm not challenging your claim, just genuinely curious.  How common is 
it, really?

I rarely if ever have two Finale files open at the same time, and 
Martin just wrote in another post that he doesn't either.  On the other 
hand, you seem to do it fairly often.

How about everyone else out there?  Is it common for you to have more 
than one file open in Finale at a time?  If so, is it because you 
actually work on both files simultaneously, or do you just like to 
leave inactive files open in the background?
