I've got a score with a part for drum set; the drum set plays using just

I would like to know what you think of the following, between statements
an questions:

1. Snare drum notation is displayed in the second space with full head
notation

Yes, that's standard.

2. Ride Cymbal notation is displayed on the fourth line with crossed head
notation

There is no clear standard for cymbal notation, but my preference is to put all cymbals on the space over the staff, with X heads as you noted. I tend to avoid lines, preferring spaces when I can use them, as it increases legibility in an already hard-to-read part. If you are never changing cymbals, then there is no reason to use a specific line or space for it.

3. I want to specify the use of brushes. What formula is usually used?

A text expression "Brushes", over the first measure that it applies to. Nothing else is required.

And do you specify it only on part or on score as well?

Absolutely on the score as well. All information should be on both the score AND parts.

4. Can one call a Snare Drum and Ride Cymbal a Drum Set? If not, what?

I wouldn't if that's all that plays. Call it "Cymbal and snare drum."
