I am working on an arrangemnet of "And All That Jazz" from Chicago. How do I indicate that I want the trumpet to use a plunger? Is there an articulation that I can use?
I am thinking of using what looks like an upward slur before the note...but I don't know how to make one.

To tell the trumpet player to use a plunger, you put the text "Plunger" at the place where you want it to start, then you put a + beneath the notes you want stopped, the letter o beneath notes you want open, and the word "wah" beneath notes you want to start with the plunger tight against the bell and dragged open while the note is played.
