Professional guitarist for 6 years following graduation, turning to teaching following the onset of tendonitis. Wanted to work as a transcriber for Total Guitar magazine (the largest in Europe) and so sent off a transcription which was engraved using Finale. Ended up with the engraving gig instead - started on issue 13, we've just completed issue 135, and there are numerous 'special' issues to add to the total. Have also worked for other UK publishers such as Music Sales and IMP, and have produced over 200 other books, mainly guitar, but also weird stuff like technical and analysis diagrams which are great fun. I recently bought logic audio to try to get seriously back into playing rock and jazz again, but also compose in styles of music unheard of in the 19th century and considered old fashioned by 1940. Now living near Bristol, UK, I'm married with two children, a baby and a toddler ... it's a noisy house. Aside from music I'm into chess, programming, games and movies.
