Well, I am now in communication with Scott Yoho - who will be out of the office for a few days at the NAMM show. He has assured me that the redoubtable Carla (an intelligent, knowledgeable and courteous support person), will contact me soon about this. It has been a serious problem for me and I think it should be high on the priority list for a maintenance update.

More as things develop.

Thanks for the confirmation that it's not just my problem.

??? Pain in the ass.

i updated to 2005a, opened the file i was working on - very heavy with tuplets - and immediately puked. tried piddling around with it for a few minutes before coming to the conclusion that 2005a had messed up significantly more tuplets (which were fine in 2005) than i would have had to adjust manually in 2005 (because of the articulation/expression attached to beamed notes displacement phenomenon).

of course in quitting and rebooting in 2005 i discovered that i had not made a copy of my finale prefs before opening 2005a for the first time... grrr. reconstruct prefs from scratch... trash corrupt prefs... etc.... i love my dumbputer.
