I'm working with the existing "Convert folder of Files to the current Finale Format" FinaleScript. I appended "process subdirectories" (thanks, Allen!) and changed "close all" to "close" so it would do one at a time (thanks, Brad!). But FinaleScript choking on certain filenames.
For instance, I have a folder of parts for an orchestral arrangement of the Klezmer standard "Az Der Rebe Elimelekh". The score is called simply "Az Der Rebe Elimelekh" (no ".mus" -- these files predate the point where I started adding that extension to all my Finale files). So, the score converts fine, and gets saved as "Az Der Rebe Elimelekh_2k5". But the FinaleScript chokes on "Az Der Rebe Elimelekh—C Tpt. 1" and asks me to enter a filename manually.
I also notice it mangled the names of the two previous parts -- "Az Der Rebe Elimelekh—B.Cl." becomes "Az Der Rebe ElimelekhÅ\B_2k5.Cl." and "Az Der Rebe Elimelekh—Bsn." becomes "Az Der Rebe ElimelekhÅ\Bsn._2k5". These files were originally created in OS 9.
Any ideas? If FinaleScript can't even batch convert my old files without screwing up the filenames, that doesn't seem to bode well for its ability to handle my bulk font swap.
