Erm, in current Speical Part Extraction in Finale, nothing is unlinked. Any changes you make in Special Part Extraction are reflected in the score.
I agree that Special Part Extraction may not be the best name for this, since nothing is physically extracted, but it's been called that in Finale forever, and we were discussing the idea of dynamic parts based on this model.
