Irrelevant. It's still MIDI output from Finale.

Which is why I asked the question, as it didn't make sense to say you 
couldn't use MIDI while using AU, since what you're sending to it 
*is* MIDI.

You're still sending it MIDI data, which the original comment seemed 
to say was not the case.

If you'd pay attention to the questions I ask instead of looking for 
things to get your panties in a twist over, you'd save a lot of time 
posting.
