I think the only ones you would need to change are ones like pizz, arco, mute -- that is, expressions that change the sample (previously, MIDI channel). Anything having to with tempo, dynamics, etc., should be okay.

I don't think that's necessarily true. When you install Fin2006, GPO is actually an entirely separate step. So people who are running on not-quite-the-latest machines will probably want to skip this and won't use GPO at all. Similarly, in the new doc wizard, just as you can choose between Maestro and Jazz, you can choose between GPO (if it's installed) and Finale Softsynth.

In previous versions of Finale, you could hook things up to whatever sampler or sequencer or synthesizer you wanted. (So I understand; I don't own any such creatures.) In Fin2006, you can do *exactly* the same thing. Exactly the same way.
