Well, Finale 2006 is supposed to handle this for you with a plugin. I believe it was reported that the plugin just does what we've all been doing manually, which is breaking the single measure of 2/4 into two 1/4 measures, and setting to display 2/4 as the time signature in both cases. Someone who is using Finale 2006 will have to direct you to the exact steps for this, but maybe you can find it before then by browsing the plugins, now that you know it exists. -- David W.
