I've said it several times, but in this kind of situation, a program that manages the deleted files on your hard drive would allow you to revert to any version you chose. I use Executive Software undelete on NT-based versions of Windows because I once lost a significant project when I manually deleted it (and I always bypass the recycle bin by using Ctrl-Delete). I'm sure there are similar programs available for Mac. I will say, though, that the Norton versions of this kind of product are not as good as Executive Undelete in actually unobtrusively managing the deleted files. But I will admit that my experience with the Norton recycle bin manager is from several years ago, and not with an NT-based version of Windows. -- David W.
