Yes, Hiro is right. The files are not corrupted, they are simply wiped out.
Cero. Sayonara.

[BTW Finale is _not_ aware of the problem. And they are not making a refund
because I bought it 2 months ago...Hint, hint!]

Saludos, chicos.

I think many, many people are confused here.

Both Darcy and Don said the last saved file is fine. This bug _does
not_ corrupt any file. The only bad part of this bug is undo is not working.

Well, where does the truth lie -- Darcy says MakeMusic is aware of the problem and can reproduce it, and MakeMusic says they aren't aware of the problem.

It could of course be the old "one hand has no clue what the other hand is doing." Or simply the marketing/customer-service/sales department not being willing to admit there's a flaw in their oh-so-wonderful product.

Or Darcy is in touch with people who either can't tell the rest of the company what's going on or who have chosen not to.

It could be anything -- but it is curious that Darcy reports that the company knows about it and can reproduce it, yet the company denies such knowledge.

I certainly don't doubt Darcy's report that MM knows about the bug and can reproduce it. I do doubt MM's inner workings to be able to fully realize what's going on.
