I think it will mainly work the opposite way around, dual boot will
allow a safety net or crossover zone for Windows users who would like to
try MacOS. I know lots of Mac users and can't think of one that would
actually set up a dual boot machine, most have no interest in using any
other operating system. 

To most of the Mac users I know, the Intel chip announcement seemed to
matter no more than hearing that Apple would be switching from Western
Digital to Seagate hard drives.
