Well, the "official date" for the release of Intel Macs was this June.
Some have speculated that all of the rumors of Apple offering the new
Intel machines earlier than that forced their hand and made them
release the hardware before they originally had intended to do so. If
MakeMusic! was aiming to have a Universal Binary for the *scheduled*
launch, it would have been just in time with this year's usual update
cycle.

Some analysts say that this is the same reason that Universal Binaries
of Apple's Pro apps aren't available at the same time as the new
hardware.
