I use a different font (with brackets) for editorial dynamics, one that is non-italic (as is the case with dynamic marks in Finale's fonts). I use Book Antiqua (a Palatino equivalent), as seen here: http://www.dfenton.com/Midi/Foerster10_1/Foerster10_1_019.png I find, though, that forte doesn't work as a text expression becasue "[f]" doesn't kern well. So I create a shape expression for [f] and [ff]. -- David W.
