No, not a duo core, but why do I care?

We're talking a low-cost machine here that is able to run all current
apps very fast, and will be able to run future apps quite fast.

In any event, just to check, I reran the same quote (the previous
numbers were from May 17th and were for the E310) to see what I could
get for c. $800. The E510 model comes with a dual core processor and
is a bit more expensive. It was quite easy to get a system with
monitor and 1GB of RAM for just over $800. By upgrading from the base-
level CPU (PentiumĀ® D Processor 805 with Dual Core Technology
(2.66GHz, 533FSB) that raises the price *with monitor* to $898.

You can't buy it without the monitor, and the May quote only took $20
off the price if you removed the monitor, so they are basically
giving away the monitors.

In any event, it's pretty comparable to the Mac Mini and includes a
monitor, though it's not as clear a distinction as the non-dual-core
box I was basing my earlier comparison on. The Intel chip is clearly
a pretty expensive component.
