If you really want to see them, go look up any processor benchmarks where dual-processors are pitted against single processors in applications that aren't optimized for multiple processors. The boost from the second processor is almost never large in these situations. But you can CERTAINLY see a large boost in performance from a significantly better video card with applications that aren't optimized for multiple processors.
