Final Cut Pro? Logic?
Maybe cause they want something fast?
And you can't run Mac OS X on non-apple hardware.

Right. And why do Mac users need such a high-power machine?
Has anyone run the Mac OS on a cheap Windows machine?
I'd be interested in the performance differences.
