1. Make a copy of the score. 2. If necessary, add staves to the copy so that you have exactly the same number of staves as parts. 3. Use TGTools/Smart Extraction to explode the music so that all the parts look correct on a staff by staff basis. 4. Clean up as needed. I usually repeat steps 2 & 3 in small chunks rather than attempting to run it all at once. Ymmv. 5. Add cues as needed. 6. Go into Manage Parts and generate all the parts. Until you've used Fin07, this will not make sense, so take my word for it. 7. Page layout each part as needed. (They are all in the same doc.) Or, you can continue to work as you do now. Unfortunately, there are a few features of Extract Parts that do not work as well as before, but they slip my mind at the moment. In theory, you might be able to work with the original of your score without making a copy. In practice, steps 2-5 will probably trash your score view, hence my recommendation to have a separate copy for the parts. _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
