Robert Patterson, I believe (although the dialogue has gone on long
enough now I can't be sure it was he), mentioned that the linked
scores/parts helps us in many ways, even if we don't actually use the
linked parts feature.
Perhaps some of the old "extract parts" dialog options have simply moved
to the parts dialog for linked score/parts but still have the same
effect. Someone else mentioned that lots of menu items have moved
around, so perhaps other things have moved around as well?
