I have used that combination in a couple of projects. One job was to produce
a CD of a Debussy trio for Viola, Flute and Harp that had been transcribed
substituting a guitar for the harp. Finale was for the notes and
articulations that went into the MIDI file which I imported into Sonar for
dynamic and rubato adjustments. (I also used Vienna Soundfont Studio to make
the guitar soundfont). The CD was included as a practice 'music-minus-one'
insert with score. Pretty convincing for a MIDI even if I do say so myself.
