I wonder if that doesn't explain a great deal of Score's observed superior output -- ie, not that the software is any better, but that the only people who use it are serious engravers with a practiced eye and dedication to detail.
Even on this list, which I suppose to be the cream of the Finale-user crop, there are plenty who are excellent musicians but engravers only incidentally.
