True, but the original question was how to copy a DVD, and purchasing Toast, while it is a great program, seems overkill. And I don't think his DVD that he wanted a copy of was Dual Layer.......Not sure if DiskUtility can copy Dual Layers, but it works fine for single (4.7Gigabyte) DVDs.....

Disk Utility. Simple. Slow, but simple and free.

The reason why I never used DiskUtil is that because I don't have double
layer burner (Toast compresses it to single layer but not DiskUtil).  I
have another thing I need to do often - cancel the region code because
the disks I purchase can't be played with US player :-(
