How about the "STRADIVARI SOLO VIOLIN 2.0?" Anyone here have
experience with it? Would it be worth buying for orchestral work,
(mixing with GPO) or is it worthwhile only for someone doing a lot of
solo violin work?
(Nice job on the Holst 2nd Suite, Jim!. One of my all-time fave works.
I basically learned to play on that piece, as a beginning euphonium
player.)

This was done with GPO, Finale GPO (for a couple extra clarinets) and
JABB for saxes...

as was this:

The JABB saxes seem to me a bit edgy for concert band work, or I
didn't take enough programming time to fix the sound.

Let me see if I have this correct ... I now am on MacFin/GPO 2007. I
am presently writing a piece for Wind Ensemble. As far as notation
goes, I have included parts for Saxes, but, since I set it up in
GPO, naturally, it does not play those parts back with GPO sounds.
Ok, If I were to purchase and install JABB, can I pull (manually, I
assume) the sax library sounds into the present score and have them
playback with the regular GPO sounds? If the answer is yes, I'll
probably be asking some questions in the future as to how to do
that, exactly.

I haven't seen this mentioned, but Garritan is having a group buy
this year. Great way to get the full version of GPO, Jazz Band,
and/or the Strat Violin libraries.
