For dotted slurs, I use these settings: Thickness 0.00998 Dash Length 0.04861 Dash Space 0.02431 Hook Length 0.04167 But I'm not happy with that. The problem is that they aren't just broken-up slurs -- they're plain old lines, so they aren't thicker in the center. This is very bad, in my opinion. Here are some examples from one of my files: http://www.dfenton.com/images/DottedSlurs/ The details graphics show how bad it looks when you really get up close. One option would be to create a smart shape for the very small ones. It would be stretchable to fit the context. (one other idea -- when you're sending these things to the list, why not export a TIF and convert to GIF or PNG for posting? No screen can ever be as precise as a 300 or 600dpi TIF) -- David W.
