The finale file is 88 kb. The graphic file size is 30 kb. They are pretty small, I feel. I'm importing the graphic files via tools/advanced tools/graphics. This is where it crashes. My windows 'task manager' shows that the performance is very low. The CPU Usage is running between 8 and 13 %. Don't know if that could be the problem. I do know that this computer is getting pretty full and is probably the reason for all my trouble since I tried this file at a computer at work which is in great shape with all kinds of room etc. on it. Everything worked good there but, the grapics (crescendo and dimiendo) would show up and print fine but, if I close the file and reopen it, they wouldn't show up again. Man, this is so frustrating. I'm not sure what 'embeding' means since I'm not an everyday Finale user. I usually do enough to get a job done which takes me much longer since I'm not doing it everyday. It's hard to find the time to really study Finale so I wouldn't have to ask for help so much. I sure do appreciate the help that you and the 'List' provide and am in deep gratitude. Looks like I should take the computer in for a 'clean up' of some sorts but, was hoping to finish this project before I have to.
   Thanks for your help Noel.

A document crashes each time I try to import a grapic. Sad thing is: It's the last entry on the page. Would anyone have any ideas on the cause or any help on the matter. I'm running win2006.

What is the size of the finale file? What is the file size of the graphic? Are you embedding the graphic, or importing it by reference? If you are embedding it, you may be exceeding the memory on your computer. You might create a new version of the graphic with a smaller resolution--say 150 dpi instead of 600, and seeing if this will import; given a fixed image size, the 150 dpi file will be 1/16 the size of the 600 dpi one. If it is essential to maintain the graphic as it is, you may have to resort to upping the memory in your machine. Or, you can revert to the older way of dealing with graphics, and import it by reference instead of embedding it.
