You're right Aaron. The expression tool is what my newest adventure was
which is now disappearing after I close the page and then return. Thought I
might experiment with the smart shape tool as David thought I might want to
try.

George, I know this doesn't answer your question about the crash, but why
are you creating cresc. and dim. in Photoshop? If you mean these as text
'cresc' and 'dim', then you should be using the Finale Expression tool
(text expressions). If you're trying to create hairpins, then look at the
Smartshape Tool.
Unless you're doing something very odd with these basic musical symbols, I
don't think there's any reason to go outside Finale.
