Indeed. Maybe the Packard Foundation (they paid $400K for the rights)
could be enticed to license the content of other editions as well.

a business plan behind it all?
I wouldn't even mind paying a small anual fee for using NMA or any other
complete edition online. If Henle did this for the Haydn CE, and let me
use it online for 10 Dollars a year, my money would be with them pronto.
