Did you try replacing (if only temporarily) the FAN files in Finale 2008
with your 2007 ones? It is possible the settings have been changed.
This is just a guess, not a proven solution.
I wonder if Chuck's problem goes back to the Fin2005 origins of his file.
I just opened a Fin2007 file in Fin2008 and noticed no such displacement
of expressions and articulations.
As with each new version over the years, I think that any such
misbehavior may well be on a file-by-file basis, and the further back
the origins of the file, the worse the potential problems we need to be
aware of.
