"tessitura" would be correct, but is using this term required?

Because the violin part lies high it has been transposed for ease of reading throughout.

Can you not use a different clef, similar to the way a treble clef with a little 8 attached is used for tenor voices in choral pieces? Such a use would be simpler, requiring no note to the conductor or instrumentalist.
