Should it be "tessitura", "tessiture", "tessituri", or "tessituras"?

Perhaps it is important to note that this is about more than one piece.

Personal opinion only:

The noun being referenced is "writing," modified to "violin writing" and the object of the prepositional phrase "of the violin writing." It is a singular noun, and not plural as in "writings." Therefore the reference is to the writing in general and it doesn't matter how many pieces there are. And therefore I would use the singular "tessitura."

I don't, of course, understand the sense of the quotation. Why would one not reproduce the pitch exactly?!
