The one thing about their page view that I don't like is a lack of a keyboard command to go from page to page or back to the top. Maybe I just haven't found it yet.
I hardly ever use the Navigator. It isn't the way my mind works. But have you discovered that you can turn on scroll bars (under View), and click on them or pull them to move? And the Go To Page and Go To Measure Number commands are also very helpful (Shift+Apple - G on Mac for page, Option+Apple - G for bar number).
