I have a FileMaker db that I access routinely that I can open on both mac and PC. This confused me as well. Bento is their only Mac-only product.

I would strongly support FileMaker Pro, it does a wonderful job and I use it for all our orchestra info. Re the borrowing information---it might be better to have a separate file for that as the number of fields required in one file would perhaps be rather cumbersome. Also the information could be 'zapped' when the music is returned but the fields remain for the next work to be borrowed. One caveat-- most people have PCs and so can't use the file as is but since v.8 FMPro can be exported as an Excel file, Margaret

I don't understand your last statement -- FilemakerPro is available for both Windows and Mac, and has been for a while. Why can't a PC with Filemaker read your data files?
