Robert,

Your Mass Copy is the only way to copy "This Staff Only" items. It is an
essential tool when working in 2008.

The biggest problem I'm finding with Mass Copy is that it does not always
copy certain "This Staff Only" items properly in 2008. Try creating a flat
or sharp symbol as an expression and attach it as a "This Staff Only" item.
Now highlight the measure and set Mass Copy to copy this element. Try
pasting on staves below the highlighted staff. Sometimes it will copy and
other times it will not. If you put 2 sharps made from the same element and
try to copy them to a staff below in the same measure it seems random as to
what copies but most of the time it will copy only 1 sharp but sometimes
nothing will copy.

This is not a rant on Mass Copy, just a bug I've found with it in 2008. I
rely on Mass Copy to take over the tedious process of lining things up and
doing "smart copying" which it does well. I just love being able to set a
group of measures' hairpins and apply that same setting to the other staves
by just copying the settings to the hairpins and to only the measures that
have similar hairpins. It's close to being the biggest tool in the tool box.

Thanks,
Steve
