2b) should the measure number (1) appear on the MM rest (i have
them appearing normally on MM rests)?
2b) That's a point of contention. I would number it just for clarity
well, i added a cue for the pickup and m1 (thanks guy!) so no longer
a question for this piece. but i think it really shouldn't be
necessary, if the measure following the MM rest starting the piece is
numbered: you have, for example, a big 7 over the MM rest and then a
measure number "8" immediately afterwards.
