Thanks David,

Once you've entered a text box and placed a page number insert there, it won't change when you change the page number offset. You need to delete it and then insert it again to get the new page number with the offset value. Redrawing the screen doesn't help -- once a page number insert is placed, it will continue to show its original value.

This is actually working for me. I highlight the page number, click Page Number Offset and it changes the numbers.
I have to do this twice for left and right pages.

Interestingly enough, even if you insert 1 or more pages before where your text box with the page number insert, the insert will update with the number of pages just inserted, but still will not take the page number offset into account. But if you place a new page number insert, it will not only use the page number offset you've placed but will also take into account any pages inserted before the page it's placed on. Weird!

Ugh... happily I've found a need to insert a page unless I'm using Finale for a text document.

So it's possible to have two page numbers appearing -- place a text box with a page number insert before you change the page number offset.

This is what I've found. I want standard page numbers, but also a text box on each page with 'Title - Part - Page 7/12' . It's not so hard to to another page offset but my Finale life has been full of kludges that I've not had the time to work out correct workflow..

I would have thought (and I think this is how it worked in the past but I can't really remember) that once a Page Number Offset has been set, there should be an option to "Update All Page Numbers" or "Update only pages from this point forward." But there is no option for doing it that way.

Would be excellent!
