[Finale] Playback Problem after Pizzicato

I have just started (~30 bars) entering a work into Finale [2009] and I have a 
problem with volume.  There is a short passage of pizzicato followed by a 
return to arco (the work is for string quartet and uses VST instruments).  The 
volume in the arco section is very quiet.  If I change the dynamics to ff, it 
makes no difference, but if I remove the pizz. indication from the previous 
section then the volume is as expected.  Is this a known bug and is there a 
solution?
