Dear collective wisdom:

I only just updated my Mac to Snow Leopard (10.6).  I was a bit surprised to 
discover that my trusty and wonderful HP 5000 wasn't automatically found. 

I know many of you are HP 5000 users. 

I have a JetDirect card installed (making this, in essence, an HP 5000n), and 
am connecting via the Ethernet port. I tried various solutions on the net, but 
have repeatedly failed to get the system to find the printer. I know the way to 
do this is via the JetDirect setting in the IP tab of the printer setup.

I think the problem, though, is that the printer thinks its IP number is 
0.0.0.0.  I can't get that to be anything else...

If anyone knows what to do, please help me!! I want my lovely printer to work 
again!!!
