Hi David, How did your computer talk to your printer in 10.6? AppleTalk? That is no longer supported in 10.7.
It is a while ago that I went through some of this, but I believe there are JetDirect Cards which support Bonjour, and JetDirect Cards which don't. They are cheap on ebay, so that might be an option. My HP5000 is definitely seen through Bonjour (I can see it in Safari) although it does take a while until it shows up. I can enter the web setup through Safari, and set addresses etc., but the computer doesn't need any of this, it can talk to it through Bonjour.
